1. Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR).

2. It refers to the rate of energy metabolism in the human body when in a fully awake and extremely resting state, unaffected by muscle activity, ambient temperature, food intake, or mental stress.

3. Men: BMR = 66 + (13.7 × weight (kg)) + (5 × height (cm)) – (6.8 × age (years))

4. Women: BMR = 655 + (9.6 × weight (kg)) + (1.8 × height (cm)) – (4.7 × age (years))
