Introduction to Barcodes:

1. A barcode is an automatic identification technology that uses a series of bars of varying widths to represent numbers, letters, or other information.

2. The bars in a barcode can be read by a scanning device, allowing the content of the barcode to be retrieved quickly.

3. A barcode consists of the following elements:

(1) Barcode symbols: Composed of black bars and white spaces, where the width of the bars represents different numbers or characters.

(2) Barcode start symbol: Located on the left side of the barcode, it indicates the starting position for the scanner.

(3) Barcode data zone: Contains the data to be encoded; the data zone can be divided into multiple modules, with each module representing a character or digit.

(4) Barcode stop symbol: Located on the right side of the barcode, it indicates the end position for the scanner.

(5) Barcode check digit: Located below the data zone, it is used to verify the accuracy of the barcode data.
