Respiratory rate calculation

1. This tool calculates the total number of breaths taken from birth to the present.

2. Please note that the number of breaths per minute varies by age group.

(1) Infants under 1 year old breathe 30–40 times per minute.

(2) Children aged 1–3 breathe 23–35 times per minute.

(3) Children aged 3–6 breathe 20–30 times per minute.

(4) Children aged 6–12 breathe 18–26 times per minute.

(5) Adolescents aged 12–18 breathe 12–20 times per minute.

(6) Adults over 18 breathe 12–20 times per minute.
