Introduction to the Guanyin Divine Fortune Sticks:

1. The Guanyin Divine Fortune Sticks originated in the Tang Dynasty. According to legend, Guanyin Bodhisattva appeared on Mount Putuo and bestowed upon a monk a set of divine fortune sticks to guide all sentient beings.

2. During the Song Dynasty, the Guanyin Divine Fortune Sticks spread among the common people, and by the Ming and Qing Dynasties, a systematic set of fortune stick texts and methods for interpreting them had been established.

3. There are a total of 100 oracle sticks in the Guanyin Oracle, comprising 38 auspicious sticks, 32 neutral sticks, and 30 inauspicious sticks.

4. As an ancient form of divination, the Guanyin Oracle embodies both the compassionate teachings of Guanyin Bodhisattva and reflects people’s exploration of destiny and their yearning for happiness.
