    (1) Buddha’s Birthday: The 8th day of the 4th month, commemorating the birth of Siddhartha Gautama.

    (2) Renunciation: The 8th day of the 2nd month, commemorating Shakyamuni’s renunciation of worldly life.

    (3) Enlightenment: The 8th day of the 12th lunar month, commemorating Shakyamuni’s attainment of enlightenment.

    (4) Parinirvana: The 15th day of the second month, commemorating the Parinirvana of Shakyamuni.

    3. The Buddhist calendar is widely used in religious activities in Buddhist countries and regions, particularly in Thailand, Sri Lanka, Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar.
