Shelf life calculation

1. Shelf life of 1 year or more: Foods are considered near-expiration 45 days before the expiration date.

2. Shelf life of 6 months or more but less than 1 year: Foods are considered near-expiration 20 days before the expiration date.

3. Shelf life of 90 days or more but less than 6 months: Products are considered near-expiration 15 days before the expiration date.

4. Shelf life of 30 days or more but less than 90 days: Products are considered near-expiration 10 days before the expiration date.

5. Shelf life of 16 days or more but less than 30 days: Products are considered near-expiration 5 days before the expiration date.

6. Shelf life of less than 15 days: Products are considered near-expiration 1–4 days before the expiration date.
