1. UBB (Ultimate Bulletin Board) è un linguaggio di marcatura front-end utilizzato per forum e bacheche.

2. UBB consente agli utenti di formattare il testo utilizzando semplici tag, ad esempio per modificare il carattere, la dimensione, il colore, il grassetto, il corsivo e così via.

3. UBB è un linguaggio di marcatura molto basilare e semplice, simile all'HTML, ma i suoi tag sono solitamente racchiusi tra [ e ].

4. In una singola funzione, il codice HTML non può essere utilizzato insieme al codice UBB; inoltre, i tag UBB non fanno distinzione tra maiuscole e minuscole.

5. UBB non supporta la nidificazione e non sono ammessi spazi tra i tag e il contenuto dei tag.
