Introduction to SHA Encryption:

1. SHA (short for Secure Hash Algorithm) is a family of cryptographic hash functions.

2. SHA includes several different hash functions, the most well-known being SHA-1, as well as the more secure SHA-2 and SHA-3 series.

3. SHA-2 is considered secure, particularly SHA-256 and SHA-512; currently, there is no known method to compromise its security.

4. Note: Since the SHA series of hash functions are one-way—meaning the original data cannot be derived from the hash—they are also referred to as “cryptographic hash functions.”
